Cross-country skiers are also given full consideration in Zell am See, Piesendorf and Kaprun! The magnificent surroundings of the Zell am See lake and the beautiful views are full of surprises. Local cross-country trails (58km) connect to the more than 200km-long(!) Pinzga-loipe (loipe= trail).
For greater snow-probability and altitude, excellent cross-country skiing can be found at the spectacular 3km- long Gletsjerloipe (glacier trail) at an altitude of 2850m on the Kaprun skiing area. The Zell am See high-altitude trail at 1300m can be reached easily by ski lift in only 5 minutes. Night trails are to be found in Zell am See and Kaprun. For those who still haven’t seen enough, there is the 200 kilometre Pinzgau- and Saalachtalloipe.
